Resources I love to share
Β
This page is a living collection β gathered over many years of study, practice, and the privilege of walking alongside hundreds of seekers on their journeys inward. Everything here has moved me, informed my work, or been recommended to clients and students so many times that it belongs in one place. I hope you find exactly what you need.
The Enneagram β where to begin
Β
The Enneagram is one of the most profound maps of the human psyche I have ever encountered. Unlike personality systems that simply describe behavior, the Enneagram illuminates the deep motivations, fears, and gifts that drive us β and offers a genuine path toward freedom, compassion, and growth.
If you are new to the Enneagram, or if you have encountered it before but never gone truly deep, I encourage you to begin here.
A note on typing: Determining your Enneagram type is not straightforward β and that is actually part of its wisdom. Unlike tests that tell you who you are in three minutes, the Enneagram asks something more of you. The most accurate way to find your type is through a combination of taking a well- designed test, and/or reading the full type descriptions with an open and honest heart, and sitting with the question over time. If you find yourself drawn to two types, that is not confusion β it is information. Stay curious.
The Narrative Enneagram
Β
One of the most respected Enneagram schools, the Narrative Enneagram offers a rich, humanistic approach to the system rooted in direct personal experience β the idea that we learn best from hearing others of our own type speak about their inner lives. Their website is full of valuable free resources, including detailed type descriptions and illuminating type comparisons that can help you discern between two possibilities you may be considering. Their typing test is available for $10 and is a excellent starting point.
The Enneagram Institute
Β
Created in 1997 byt the late Don Richard Riso and by Russ Hudson β one of the foremost Enneagram teachers in the world, one of my most beloved teachers and mentors and a direct influence on my own work β the Enneagram Institute offers the RHETI, widely considered one of the most thorough and reliable Enneagram typing instruments available. If you want to go deep, this is the test I most often recommend to clients and students.
Their test is available for $20 and is well worth the investment. I also strongly encourage you to sign up for their free daily resource, EnneaThought β a brief daily reflection delivered to your email, written from the perspective of whichever type you select. You can sign up for up to two types at a time. If you have narrowed your type to two possibilities, receiving the daily EnneaThought from both perspectives is one of the most helpful discernment practices I know β over time, one will simply feel more true than the other.

Meditation & mindfulness β where to begin and where to go deeper
Β
A regular contemplative practice is, in my experience, the single most transformative thing a person can add to their daily life. These are the resources I reach for most often when a client is ready to begin β or ready to go deeper.
Insight Timer
(free app)
The largest free meditation app in the world β with thousands of guided meditations, sleep support, music, and talks across every tradition and length. Whether you have three minutes or an hour, whether you are brand new to meditation or a seasoned practitioner, Insight Timer has something for you. It is the first resource I recommend to almost every client who wants to begin a practice.Β
Tara Brach
(free website, podcast & guided meditations)
Tara Brach is a psychologist, Buddhist meditation teacher, and one of the most compassionate voices in contemporary mindfulness. Her website offers hundreds of free guided meditations and dharma talks β all available to stream or download at no cost. I particularly recommend her RAIN practice β a simple, powerful four-step process for working with difficult emotions with presence and self-compassion. It is one of the mostΒ useful tools I know for shadow work and inner healing, and it is available free on her site.
Ten Percent Happier
(app & podcast)
Founded by journalist Dan Harris after a very public anxiety attack led him unexpectedly into meditation, Ten Percent Happier is designed specifically for the skeptical, analytically-minded seeker β the person who wants the benefits of meditation without the spiritual packaging. The podcast is free and features some of the best conversations on mindfulness, neuroscience, and contemplative practice available anywhere. The app offers a more structured paid course experience for those who want guidance.
Online tools and communities I recommend

The Wheel of Life is one of the first tools I use with every client β a simple, powerful visual map of your life that reveals where you are thriving, where you are longing for more, and where your energy and time may not yet match what you most deeply value.
It takes just a few minutes. And it has a way of showing you exactly what you most need to see.

Krista Tippett is one of the most gifted interviewers alive β bringing together scientists, poets, theologians, activists, and contemplatives in conversations about what it means to be human, what it means to live well, and what it means to be alive at this particular moment in history.
